- 2009 Alden-Baldy Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 1956 by various members of the
alumni and Christopher Baldy to provide assistance to students who
without such help would be unable to achieve their goal of becoming
members of the bar. Recipients are chosen by faculty members based on superior academic credentials.
- Matthew Grappone Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was awarded to a student that demonstrated the same passion
for learning and unwavering work ethic that Matthew Grappone once shared.
- Engineering Dean's List
Students are named to the Dean's List for each semester in which they
earn a minimum GPA of 3.6 and complete 15 credit hours or more of
coursework. At least 12 credit hours must be letter graded. I have received
this every semester here at UB.
- University Scholars Program Scholarship

Generally, UB Scholars will have an unweighted high school
average of 90 or better and a combined SAT I score of at least
1200 (or an ACT score of at least 26). This scholarship helps
pay for my tuition.

- Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
The Elks National Foundation will award 500
four-year scholarships to the highest-rated boys and girls in the yearly
competition. Selection is based on leadership, scholasticism and financial
need. I am honored that the Elks are able to help me pay for college.
- New York Lottery Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship
One student is chose from each public and private high school in New
York State based on experience in extracurricular activities, community
service and a student who has demonstrated leadership skills. The New York
State Lottery has been kind enough to chose me for this distinction.
- Clarence and Bessy Williams Scholarship
This scholarship was distributed by the Chautauqua County Community
Foundation to students that are attending college and showing great academic
achievement. I am honored and thankful to be named as such.
- Nancy Welch Award Nominee
During the 2006 academic year I was nominated for the Nancy Welch award.
This honor is given to members of the Para-Professional staff that provide
dynamic programming that meets the needs of their residents.
- Walter and Grace Hazzard Scholarship
This scholarship was distributed by the Chautauqua County Community
Foundation to students that are attending college and showing great academic
achievement. Their contribution has helped me greatly during my time at the
University.
- Coca-Cola Scholars Program - Semifinalist
I was the first student from my school to be considered as a
semifinalist for this prestigious (and financially rewarding) scholarship.
Although I did not receive the full scholarship, Coca-Cola publicly
recognized my academic achievement.
- Mock Trial Awards
I have received top honors at the Columbia Invitational, Buffalo
Invitational and Cleveland Invitational Mock Trial Tournaments. BarBri, a
test preparation company, has also awarded me for my achievements.
- Rochester Institute of Technology Computing Medal
This honor is distributed to those who meet certain criteria based on
academic record, recommendations, activities and requirements for intended
major.
- New York State Ceramics Association Award
This award was distributed to those that showed significant competence
in science and engineering to help attract students towards Ceramic
Engineering.
- United States Air Force Technology Award
This certificate was distributed to those that performed well on State
science and mathematics tests.
